The Shop"One of the best gift shops ever - unusual things, many by craftspeople, and a perfect place to shop for Christmas or birthdays" Kent on Sunday.
The shop has won three prestigious "Best Product" awards from the Association for Cultural
Enterprises in 2002, 2007, 2009.
OverviewThe shop stocks many locally sourced products, particularly food stuffs where we work inassociation with "Produced in Kent". We also have a range of fairly traded and Fair Trade products on offer. A significant proportion of the merchandise is exclusive to the shop and is designed around the fabric and artefacts from the Cathedral itself. Of course we carry the branded souvenirs you would expect at a busy visitor attraction shop, but there are also good quality general gifts that appeal to local shoppers, not just Cathedral visitors. These include well known brands such as Emma Bridgewater, Poole, Dartington, Bronnley and Heyland & Whittle.
On the first floor is a book shop and a crafts and prints gallery. We aim to stock all of Archbishop Rowan's books and those of his equally prolific wife Mrs. Jane Williams. The other subjects we cover are medieval life and history,"Canterbury Tales", some spiritual and religious books, a selection of Everyman classics and ecclesiastical architecture. We have prints by popular local artist Peter Gerald Livesey and the perennial views of the Cathedral.

Wine from Tenterden, beer from Newnham, preserves from Deal, fudge from Ashford and chutney from Worthing. Much of what we offer is from the "Garden of England" and the South East, making it worthy and very tasty.
