LENTEN QUIET DAY
Through the Door of Hope:
Stepping into hope within challenging times
Led by Christopher Chapman
Saturday 12 April, 10:00-16:00 - in the Jesus Chapel, All Saints Chapel and quiet garden of No.15, The Precincts
An opportunity to reflect on the nature of hope, with a spirituality that engages what is real, to bring about change.
Christopher Chapman is an experienced spiritual director and retreat leader. He is a guest director at St. Beuno’s Jesuit Spirituality Centre. He is the author of Doorways to Hope: 40 Days of Spiritual Wisdom, Canterbury Press 2025.
Hope has its roots in a God who is always moving into how things are. The door of hope is open and God steps through it with purpose and compassion. Through this same door we can step out in God into all that is broken apart. This day will help us explore how hope meets us within our personal circumstances and the challenges of our time.
There will be a lunch break during the event; you are welcome to bring your own refreshments to enjoy in the grounds of the Cathedral, or there are many local cafes and eateries to choose from just outside the Christ Church Gate.
£12 per person - Booking essential; spaces limited.
If you are on universal credit or have refugee status, please contact the Events Office via email to claim free admission to the event (upon verification of status): [email protected]
