Morning and Evening Worship will take place as usual, and St Augustine’s Chapel will be available during the day for private prayer. Check service times

Join us to discover the history behind Shrove Tuesday, commonly known as ‘Pancake Day’ (this year on March 4th.)
Enjoy a free freshly-cooked pancake in our Community Studio and face off against our clergy and Cathedral staff for pancake races in the Precincts!
Entry for pancake races will open on the day, with races beginning on the hour at 12:00, 13:00 & 14:00.
Pre-booking is required for free pancakes - book below.
Maximum one pancake per person; only those who have pre-booked a pancake ticket slot, are guaranteed a pancake, and will need to present their booking confirmation on arrival, alongside a valid form of cathedral admission (as listed below). Pancakes are prepared and cooked only by our professional chefs.
*Included free with a valid Cathedral Admission Ticket, Cathedral Pass or Friends’ Card. Children aged 17 and under go free (T&Cs apply).
Allergy warning: Pancake recipe contains gluten, dairy and egg.
If you have a dietary requirement, prior to the event, please email [email protected] with details as we may be able to offer a suitable alternative pancake batter mixture.
Our chefs use a separate method of preparation for alternative batters, to avoid cross-contamination.
