COMING TO CANTERBURY CATHEDRAL
Cathedrals Cycle Relay 2025
Sunday 8 - Monday 9 June
* SIGN UP NOW *
This year’s 2,000-mile relay starts at Bradford Cathedral on Saturday 24 May, and the 42nd stage ends back at Bradford Cathedral on Saturday 5 July, having followed the route first established in 2021.
The Cathedral Cycle Relay (CCR) is about connecting our historic cathedrals, enjoying the spaces between them, and strengthening the cultural and heritage links between these important and historic buildings in a sustainable way. It is also about ‘Cycling with purpose’, which can include raising funds for good causes.

The CCR is open to all - whatever your beliefs, background, or age - and we are looking for cyclists who would like to ride some or all of our stage of this year’s relay, from Canterbury to Guildford.
It is split over two days, leaving Canterbury on Sunday 8 June and arriving in Guildford on Monday 9 June, after an overnight stop (likely at Tonbridge).
The first day goes through Chartham, Wye and Ashford, on cycle routes and quiet roads. The second stage from Tonbridge to Guildford is a little more challenging, via East Grinstead and Crawley, with more hills to climb; but our route has been chosen to make it accessible to as many riders as possible.
If you would like to find out more about the CCR or might be interested in being part of the Canterbury team, then please get in touch with:
Ian Roberts, Music & Liturgy Department ([email protected]) or Torin Brown, Pilgrim Officer at Canterbury Cathedral ([email protected])
