The Cathedral, Cathedral Lodge and Shop will be closed from Monday 13th - Wednesday 15th January 2025 for our Cathedral Staff Training Conference.
Morning and Evening Worship will take place as usual, and St Augustine’s Chapel will be available during the day for private prayer. Check service times

Gentle Tour
Join us for our step-free tours, delivered at a gentle pace, in a smaller group; split into two parts, with a comport break.
Dates:
- Thursdays 9 & 23 January, between 14:15-16:00
- Thursdays 6 & 20 February, between 14:15-16:00
- Thursdays 6 & 20 March, between 14:15-16:00
The tour is split into two 40-minute sessions, with a comfort break in between.
Ground Floor Level - 14:15
Hear the story of Thomas Becket, our most famous Archbishop, and see the site of his murder and feast your eyes on some of our oldest stained glass windows.
First Floor Level (accessible by lift) - 15:15
Explore the Quire and a ‘Cadaver tomb’, contrast medieval and dramatic modern windows and find out why there is a cannonball in an Archbishop’s tomb!
£5 per person, plus Cathedral admission charge.
